In the third quarter of 2024, the hack and slash game category on iOS in South Africa saw varying performance across the top five apps. Data provided by Sensor Tower reveals diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Solo Leveling:Arise by Netmarble Corporation showed a notable peak in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $1.2K in late July. The app's weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 203 in early August, while weekly active users steadily increased from around 4K at the beginning of July to nearly 5K by the end of September.

Zenless Zone Zero from COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. saw its highest weekly revenue of about $895 in mid-August. The app experienced a significant drop in downloads after an initial surge of 3.4K in early July, with numbers settling around 53 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from over 3K in July to approximately 627 at the quarter's close.

BLEACH Mobile 3D by SKYWORK AI PTE LTD had a strong finish in weekly revenue, reaching $1.2K at the end of September. However, the app's download numbers were minimal, with only a few downloads each week and no consistent active user data available.

MARVEL Future Fight also from Netmarble Corporation, maintained a steady weekly revenue, peaking at $325 in late August. Downloads were modest, reaching a high of 48 in early August, while active users showed a slight fluctuation, remaining around 400 to 460 throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Honkai Impact 3rd from COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. had its highest weekly revenue of $190 in mid-September. The app's downloads were low throughout the quarter, with a peak of 20 in late July, and active user numbers were sparse, with only a handful recorded in select weeks.
